Integrating IOS4 Task Switcher w/ Backgrounder!

For my case, the first time when i updated to the IOS4 on my iphone 3gs, I didn't know that these "freezed" apps in the task switcher would actually drain my battery. The next day when i woke up, the phone was dead. I looked for ways to get backgrounder to work again on my jailbroken iphone, and finally, found a useful method that actually helped me save the battery life of my iphone.
By using backgrounder, you can have the option of choosing when to "background" the app and when you decided not to. This means that once "backgrounded" you can switch in between apps from the task switcher. For IOS4 multitasking, it actually "freezed" the app in the taskswitcher whether you like it or not. So here are the steps to integrate IOS4 task switcher with backgrounder:

*you must have a jailbroken iphone
  1. Download Backgrounder from Cydia (This is to background the app that you want to multitask)
  2. Download Remove Recents from Cydia (This helps to clear your task switcher tray)
Inside Backgrounder's settings:

 Select Global From The Menu

Select Backgrounder and Switch off Fall Back To Native

Switch Stay Enabled to On, Badge Indicator Is Optional, Switch Minimize on Toggle to On

In order to activate backgrounding on the chosen app, you need to set the control from the backgrounder menu too. So once done, you can respring your iphone and start using!

*As usual, try these only if you are confident, i will hold no responsible for whatever it may happen to your iphone! have fun!
